Ishan Kishan, Indian wicket-keeper batter, was given an emotional farewell by his family before leaving for Australia to join the India A team. The 26-year-old was included recently in the 15-member squad led by Ruturaj Gaikwad. A video shared on social media platforms shows how lovingly and blessedly his family sends him off to the airport. He found himself removed from the list of central contract of the BCCI but has made a great comeback on the field. Kishan got a side-start into IPL 2024 after his comeback to cricket. Since then, he has gained momentum with various domestic tournaments. He was present in the Buchi Babu tournament earlier in the season and then in the Duleep Trophy with India C. Kishan got selected to play for Rest of India in Irani Cup title match against Mumbai. Recently, he scored a century for Jharkhand against Railways in the running Ranji Trophy tournament. The matches are scheduled to take place at Mackay and Melbourne before an intra-squad game against the Indian senior team that is practicing for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Kishan has played two Tests so far, 27 ODIs and 32 T20Is. Among his achievements is being picked for the 2023 World Cup team. This tour is a great opportunity for him to cement his place as a solid opener after it surfaced that skipper Rohit Sharma will be missing the early few Tests in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
