On Thursday, September 19, Sarfaraz Ahmed jokingly mocked Babar Azam in the match between the Stallions and Dolphins in the Champions One-Day Cup. The incident occurred when Babar Azam walked out to bat, and the fans were chanting his name. Sarfaraz Ahmed, trying to lighten the mood, joked with his teammates that they let Babar bat for all 40 overs, so that they can get rid of the other batters of the team. The comment by Sarfaraz went viral across social media, making fans laugh and joke that Babar's long innings would do him some good after all. Babar Azam was on 51 without losing his wicket off 66 balls, with Hussain Talat on 13. The Stallions hoped that Babar Azam would help them get to a big score.
