Yograj Singh, father of former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh, sparked controversy again, blaming MS Dhoni for allegedly harming his son's cricket career. In a recent interview, Yograj criticised the former India captain over the alleged unfair sidelining of Yuvraj during his captaincy. He is regarded as one of the best all-rounders India has ever produced, for his stellar contribution in getting India the victories in both the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 Cricket World Cup. And who can forget those six consecutive sixes against Stuart Broad in the 2007 T20 World Cup? His all-round performance in the 2011 ODI World Cup was probably one of his career highlights, where he won the title of Player of the Tournament. Yograj Singh, however believes that in MS Dhoni's captaincy lies the reason behind Yuvraj's not-so-great last years of international cricket. According to him, Dhoni's influence got Yuvraj dropped after 2011 and he never got enough opportunities thereafter. On Zee Switch YouTube Channel, Yograj Stated: "I won't forgive MS Dhoni. He should stand before the mirror and see himself. Though he is a great cricketer, his misdeed on my son comes out now and that is something which one cannot forgive." For some years now, he has consistently attacked Dhoni over some of his decisions that Yograj feels were harmful to the career of Yuvraj. Debate has trailed such comments with cricket lovers and analysts always coming to the defense of the moves of Dhoni, saying that they were made with the interest of the team at heart. All these claims had never been answered by MS Dhoni, who always remained the epitome of calmness and whose razor-sharp cricketing mind never wavered. As one of India's most successful captains, having won multiple ICC victories, which included World Cups, his reputation stands strong.
