Former Australian cricketer Brett Lee, who is famous for his fast pace and aggressive style on the cricket field, recently displayed his humorous side in a commentary session at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). Commenting alongside Michael Vaughan, Brett Lee shared a lighthearted moment that left Michael Vaughan in splits. In the first day of the fifth Test between India and Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, Lee, while complementing a fast bowler on his performance, humorously compared it to being the father of triplets and was laughing hard about it with Vaughan. So this was somehow some fun among all the tenseness of that match. Lee said: “He is the only fast bowler to get a hat-trick off two balls.” Watch the video here: Wait, what did you say Binga? 😳😂 #AUSvIND pic.twitter.com/Pp9wEsuXWF — CODE Cricket (@codecricketau) January 3, 2025 Also Read | Hardik Pandya as India's ODI Captain? BCCI Source Drops Hint AUS vs IND, 5th Test Day 1 - As it Happened On the cricket field, India had a challenging day as they were bowled out for a mere 185 runs after Jasprit Bumrah, filling in for the injured Rohit Sharma, won the toss and elected to bat first. Some solid starts by key players like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja all did not help India capitalize and ended up getting out at the hands of Australian bowlers Mitchell Starc and Scott Boland. Rishabh Pant was the highest scorer for India, scoring 40 runs off 98 balls before being dismissed by Pat Cummins. For Australia, Boland was the star bowler, taking four wickets for just 31 runs in 20 overs, while Starc picked up three wickets, including the important ones of Rahul and Jadeja. At the end of Day 1, Australia had reached 9-1, losing Usman Khawaja to Bumrah on the final ball of the day, after an heated altercation between Sam Konstas and the Indian skipper.
