England white-ball captain Harry Brook, who performed with the bat in the five-Test match series against India, is currently turning out for the Hundred. Brook turned out for Northern Superchargers on Thursday (August 7) in a match against Welsh Fire at Headingley in Leeds. Brook scored an unbeaten 25 runs from a total of 15 balls and contributed towards his team securing a 8-wicket victory through a 144-run chase. Prior to coming out to bat at No. 4, the 26-year-old grabbed the limelight with his exceptional fielding. On the 88th ball of the match, he pulled off a flying catch of Saif Zaib off Imad Wasim's bowling. He will try to deliver with the bat and in the field for Northern Superchargers in the upcoming matches and assist the team in clinching their first Hundred title. He amassed a total of 481 runs in nine innings, with two hundreds (158 and 111) and two half-centuries (99 and 53). In the first Test at Headingley (20–24 June), Brook made 99 in the first innings but was dismissed for a duck in the second. In the second Test, he made 158 runs in the first innings and included 303 runs for the sixth wicket with Jamie Smith (184*). Still, England lost by a record 336 runs in Birmingham. In the third and fourth Tests, Brook's scores were 11, 23, and 3. But in the fifth and last Test, played between July 31 and August 4, he played well in both innings and finished the series on a good note.
