During the 14th match of The Hundred Men's 2025 between Northern Superchargers and Birmingham Phoenix played at Headingley, Harry Brook hit one of the most insane shots you will ever see on a cricket ground. It arrived in the 74th ball of the Superchargers' innings. Tim Southee delivered a slower length ball on off-stump. Brook first crouched and prepared to play a reverse hit. But at the last moment, he thought of a completely different plan. Instead, he scooped the ball over the wicketkeeper's head for six. What made the shot so incredible was the force behind it. Brook fell over on contact, but the ball still sailed over the boundary easily. The Headingley crowd erupted in shock as the ball went over the stands. Zak Crawley provided the innings with a flying start, hitting Trent Boult for 6,4,4,4,4 in the last five balls of the powerplay. Liam Livingstone, though, sent Crawley back to the pavilion for 45. Dawid Malan then asserted himself and played authoritatively to score a deserved 58. Pepper, though looked out of his colors, but he added some edges in an important 50-run partnership with Malan. Luke Wood took things back slightly for Phoenix with two wickets in two balls in his penultimate overs. However, Harry Brook’s late cameo turned the momentum right back in the Superchargers’ favour. His 14-ball 31, including that outrageous scoop six, gave the crowd the moment of the night and pushed the score to a massive total. With the Headingley pitch in perfect batting condition and the outfield lightning quick, Birmingham Phoenix faced a huge chase under scoreboard pressure. They lost three early wickets, but Jacob Bethell (48) and Liam Livingstone (46) played fine knocks to stay in the hunt. However, Adil Rashid scalped both the set batters, ensuring Superchargers' a convincing victory by 37 runs as they restricted Phoenix at 157/9. For Phoenix, Matthew Potts was the pick of the bowler as he bagged three wickets. Tom Lawes, Jacob Duffy and Adil Rashid also picked up two wickets each.
