It was the last second-ball of Day 2 at Edgbaston in the second Test between England and India, and something extremely extraordinary occurred. India's right-arm speedster Prasidh Krishna delivered a back-of-a-length ball to Harry Brook. The ball pitched and seamed sharply in towards the batter. Brook attempted to play at it but got an under-edge that was thick. The ball shot up and was on its way to hit the stumps. However, a display of quick reflexes by Brook saved his wicket. Brook moved back and inadvertently knocked the ball away from the stumps with his shoulder. His shoulder rescued him from being out. He was almost about to fall on the wickets while doing this, but the batter somehow managed to get away from being dismissed in a hit-wicket manner. It was a close call and could have been a big set back for England just before stumps. Brook himself seemed surprised but managed to escape. The moment soon became viral with fans left in shock at the bizarre and fortunate manner Brook remained not out.
