Harry Brook illuminated the Oval with an astonishing shot that left spectators standing. Confronted by Mohammed Siraj, Brook did something that left many recalling the fearless approach of Rishabh Pant. It was a full ball and rather than playing it straight or on the back foot, Brook opted to sweep it not an easy option against a pacer like Siraj. As he reached for the shot he lost balance and fell over off-side but incredibly still managed to hit the ball cleanly. The timing and line were perfect and the ball cleared the long leg boundary for a huge six. It was instinctive and skillful play leaving the crowd stunned and cheering. Brook's innovation and bravado shone that day providing yet another thrill to what has already been a dashing Test match between India and England. Siraj, especially, was nasty and quick, churning out a magnificent 8-over spell that was replete with yorkers and nip-backers. Yet, as India seemed to seal their grip, Harry Brook stood up for England. Brook played a brilliant knock, earning a crucial half-century to send England into the lead. One of the moments of his innings was when he hit a massive six off Siraj, which left everyone bewildered.
