Indian men's team all-rounder Hardik Pandya has lived up to his word by gifting a bat to rising women’s cricket all-rounder Kashvee Gautam, following a promise made during the Women's Premier League (WPL). Kashvee, who represents Gujarat Giants in the WPL, had a memorable interaction with Pandya earlier this season during her team’s clash against the Mumbai Indians women's team. Pandya, who was attending the game to support the MI women's team, met several players and showed a keen interest in the budding talent. Upon learning from teammate Harleen Deol that Kashvee was a huge fan, Pandya warmly interacted with the young all-rounder and promised to gift her a bat. True to his word, Pandya recently followed through. Ahead of the Mumbai Indians' IPL fixture against the Rajasthan Royals, he handed over the special gift. In a video shared by Kashvee on her social media profile, the Indian all-rounder can be seen congratulating her on her maiden India call-up, asking her how she felt about the achievement. He then proceeds to bring out a bat, signs it personally, and hands it over to her with a smile, encouraging her to "enjoy the game."
