Hardik Pandya's Mumbai Indians defeated Chennai Super Kings by nine wickets at Wankhede Stadium. After MI's dominant win, Hardik Pandya brought out his playful side, this time with a little help from the Indian Premier League’s latest sensation, robot dog ‘Champak’. The mechanical mascot, introduced by the broadcast crew earlier this season, has been turning heads across venues. Several players were seen playing for the new addition to the IPL. Recently, Pandya grabbed remote control and took Champak for a spin near the MI dugout post-match. In a hilarious moment caught on camera, Hardik made the robot dog suddenly leap towards Akash Ambani, leaving the MI owner startled before breaking into laughter. The moment quickly went viral as the MI captain continued playing around with the device, even mimicking walking it like a pet. pic.twitter.com/InWH5eY2hC — Epic Comments Telugu (@epicmntstelugu) April 21, 2025 Rohit, SKY crush CSK as MI make it three in a row While the robot dog drew attention after the game, it was Mumbai Indians’ top order that truly mauled Chennai Super Kings. Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav stitched a blistering 114-run partnership to seal the win in just 15.4 overs, helping MI register their third straight victory this season and leap to sixth on the points table. Debutant Ayush Mhatre gave the visitors a flying start with 32 off 15, while Ravindra Jadeja (51*) and Shivam Dube (52) ensured a solid finish. However, MI's batters made light work of the chase, thanks to experienced Rohit Sharma and Surykumar Yadav. Rohit was fluent as ever with his unbeaten 76 off 45 balls, but it was Suryakumar who played the enforcer, hammering 68* off just 30. The duo shut the door on any CSK comeback, with Mumbai winning by nine wickets and a massive 26-ball margin. Mumbai Indians will next face Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 23 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
