Imran Tahir delivered a spin bowling masterclass to guide Guyana Amazon Warriors to a massive 83-run victory over Antigua and Barbuda Falcons in the ninth Caribbean Premier League (CPL) match of the 2025 edition. At the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Tahir picked up stunning figures of 5/21 in four overs with a maiden. His outstanding spell was responsible for bowling out the Falcons for 128 runs in a mere 15.2 overs, in pursuit of a humongous target of 212. The Warriors also scored a dominating 211/3 in their innings, the record-breaking CPL total for this ground. The Falcons got off to a good start, scoring 77 runs in six overs. Tahir, however, turned the game on its head. He got Shakib Al Hasan, Imad Wasim, Shamar Springer, Usama Mir, and Obed McCoy out to claim his fifth five-wicket haul in T20 cricket. This performance not just propelled Guyana Amazon Warriors to second position in the points table but also saw Tahir create a number of records, further solidifying his position as one of T20 cricket's most consistent performers.
