Australian all-rounder and a gun fielder, Glenn Maxwell, pulled off an absolute stunner to get rid of Will Prestwidge in the 19th match of Big Bash League 2024-25 between Brisbane Heat and Melbourne Stars at The Gabba, Brisbane. On the first ball of the 17th over of Brisbane Heat's innings, Stars' Dan Lawrence bowled a fuller delivery and Prestwidge hammers it hard clearing his feet and smashes the ball down the ground. Maxwell, who was placed at the long-on runs to his right, times a perfect jump over the rope and grabs it with one hand. He then pushes the ball out in to play and comes back to catch it. His magnificent catch ended Prestwidge's innings at just four runs. Commentators and crowd were awestruck with his splendid grab and some even termed it as a catch of the season. On most days, this shot would end giving six runs, but it was Maxwell who made the difference.
