The much-awaited Boxing Day Test is about to start, and Indian players have been practicing hard in the nets. On Tuesday, something unusual caught the eye of captain Rohit Sharma. A female fan devised a unique way of achieving the autograph. A woman tied a bat from the rope and lowered it close to where the players were exercising as her hopes for signing seemed within reach. According to video posted by journalist Vimal Kumar, the lady, awaiting the signature by hanging her bat by a rope at a considerable height. Though she was initially waiting for Virat Kohli, she did not get to meet him. However, she managed to get autographs from both Ravindra Jadeja and Rohit Sharma, who signed the bat. While the players have been working hard, there has been some concern about fan interactions due to a few incidents that have taken place. Following the second Test in Adelaide, the Indian team decided on closed-door net sessions, though fans can still see from a distance. India had gained the first Test in Perth by a margin of 295 runs, but Australia returned all guns blazing with a 10-wicket win in the pink-ball Test. The third Test in Brisbane went into a draw due to heavy rain. India will be worried about the form of their top batsmen, Kohli and Rohit. Kohli scored a century at Perth but failed to score more than 50 runs in any other innings. Rohit was dismissed for single-digit runs in both innings in Adelaide and could score only 13 runs in the Test at Gabba.
