During the 8th over of Delhi Bulls while chasing a target of 118 against Morrisville Samp Army, Delhi’s Tim David played a power hit shot in the Isuru Udana’s over to accumulate a boundary. The shot was so powerful that it went straight to the boundary line and David collected another four. Udana, who came to bowl the 8th over from over the wicket, bowled a back-of-the-length slower delivery to David, which David tried to muscle in the off side. Although he wanted to play another shot but a thick outside edge, the shot had just enough power to breach the fence. Faf du Plessis gave his best to save a boundary only to see the ball cross the ropes at the very last moment and du Plessis collided with the ball boy standing near the ropes. However, Faf du Plessis wasn’t much happier either following the incident, clearly, he was at the risk of getting a severe injury. Captured video of the incident can see Du Plessis recover from his fall and thankfully make his way back onto the field.
