The India vs Pakistan clash in Asia Cup 2025 which took place in Dubai on Sunday, September 14, was controversial even before a single ball was bowled. In a shocking gaffe, the DJ played "Jalebi Baby" instead of Pakistan's national anthem, leaving fans and players surprised. DJ Plays Wrong Track Before Anthem With Pakistan players standing lined up with hands on hearts, expecting Pak Sarzamin Shad Bad to be played, the stadium speakers burst into the Jason Derulo x Tesher track unexpectedly. The mistake left the players visibly agitated and supporters shocked. The mistake was soon rectified, and Pakistan's national anthem was ultimately played. Nevertheless, the mistake sparked a controversy on social media, with supporters labeling it as disrespectful and embarrassing. It is not the first time that a mix-up of such an anthem has included Pakistan. At the Champions Trophy in Lahore, organisers incorrectly played out the Indian national anthem. In a similar incident, during a 2023 match between England and Australia, "Jana Gana Mana" was inadvertently played rather than Australia's anthem and left players baffled before the mistake was corrected.
