India prepares for a 5-Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25 series, where the first Test is scheduled to be played in Perth. Recently, on #HeyCB by Cricbuzz, CricketGully asked Dinesh Karthik that what will be the bowling combination of India (both pace and spin) for the upcoming Test against Australia. Cricket Gully asked: "Vanakam DK, What will be India's bowling lineup in Australia? Pace and Spin combinations?" Dinesh Karthik responded to it is saying it's pretty tough to say about the bowling lineup for all five Tests since every venue would have different conditions which will affect the decision of the team to form a combination. However, he did manage to give out his take on a possible bowling lineup for the 1st Test in Perth. Karthik says India should go with Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Akash Deep, Ravindra Jadeja, and Harshit Rana in the bowling department for the first match. He added Jadeja into the side as he can also bat at number 7. Karthik said: "I can't say about all five Tests as it will vary obviously venue to venue, but 1st Test in Perth I think it's going to be, Bumrah, Siraj, we have Akash Deep. Harshit Rana, will he get an opportunity? Is the big question. Jadeja will bat at 7. I don't think Ashwin will play. This will be my team. The big question is, is it going to be Harshit Rana or Nitish Kumar Reddy, I will tilt towards Harshit Rana. Four fast bowlers we need in Perth and we have to have Jadeja at number 7, that would be my combination." Kaif Urges Kohli, Rohit to Play Ranji Trophy Former Indian batter Mohammad Kaif feels that Virat Kohli and captain Rohit Sharma must play in the Ranji Trophy to prepare for the Border Gavaskar Trophy series to be played in Australia. Kaif insists that playing domestic matches will help both players regain their batting form, especially after they failed to score big runs during the recent home Test series against New Zealand.
