It is a new milestone for this long cricket career. Since retiring in June last year, many thought that was the end of his cricketing career. But the chance to play in South Africa's top league brought him back. The Paarl Royals, lead by David Miller, are focusing on a well-rounded season. Their first game is against defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape on January 11. They have strengthened the team with the presence of Karthik. In Indian Premier League (IPL), Karthik has played 257 matches for multiple teams and has scored 4842 runs. With experience and skills at his disposal, he has the potential to significantly contribute to Paarl Royals for the SA20 league.
