In a display of raw power and cheeky bravado, South Africa's sensation Dewald Brevis stunned the cricketing world during the third T20I against Australia. With the series hanging in the balance, he let loose a jaw-dropping exhibition of his trademark no-look shots, sending three sixes that not only cleared the boundary, but actually flew out of the stadium itself, a hitting display that will be replayed for years to come. The suspense only grew on the fifth ball when Hardie overpitched outside off and Brevis shuffled across before tonking it over long-off without looking at the ball. The over still had more magic to it. On the last delivery Brevis got his fifty in 22 balls by hitting another six deep over cover, with which he completed an unbelievable over of 27 runs. South Africa were in a commanding position at the midpoint of their innings at 96 for three wickets. Although they had an early setback, the course of events was overturned convincingly by Brevis's sensational and attacking batting. The young sensation was on fire, scoring a thunderous half-century off 22 deliveries and receiving fine support from Tristan Stubbs. Their alliance took the rate of scoring well beyond that. The last over before the interval was a specially explosive one, getting the Proteas' total up close to the triple-figure plateau and building well for a dominant final tally.
