Mumbai Indians (MI) pacer Deepak Chahar hilariously tried to sledge Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and former captain MS Dhoni during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 clash in Chennai. Deepak Chahar and MS Dhoni share a unique bond. The pacer's career began with Rising Pune Supergiants in 2016 under Dhoni's captaincy. He continued to play alongside Dhoni in Chennai Super Kings from 2018 to 2024. Dhoni mentored Chahar, helping him refine his skills to eventually earn his India debut in 2019. Interestingly, this is the first time Chahar has played against Dhoni in the IPL. When Dhoni came out to bat, Chahar attempted to sledge the former Indian captain. While Dhoni chose not to respond during the match, he playfully slapped Chahar with his bat after the game concluded. Notably, Chahar also managed to make a significant impact in the match. He ran Jadeja out when the CSK all-rounder was batting on 17 off 18 balls, leading to the much-anticipated arrival of MS Dhoni at the crease.
