Indian fast bowlers may command massive deals at the IPL 2025 mega auction. Top pacers like Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj are likely to draw serious interest and premium deals as they will act as front-line bowlers. But there are second and third-choice pacers, too, who could be of interest, just not necessarily lead the bowling attack but play crucial supporting roles. Natarajan's Big Leap: CSK Acquires Him for Rs 10 Crore In a mock IPL auction conducted by Ravichandran Ashwin, Chennai Super Kings has picked T. Natarajan who has been consistently picking up the wickets since 2018, for a whopping Rs 10 crore. Compared to his salary of Rs 4 crores per annum, this is a whopping 250% salary hike. There are a few reasons why Natarajan's price tag went up. He is a left-arm pacer, and there's a shortage of good southpaw quicks all around the world, which makes him worth much. His last season's performances, where he was the fourth-highest wicket-taker, even made him worth more. Natarajan's ability to bowl both through the powerplay and at the death makes him a flexible choice for the teams, and it will not be surprising if he fetches a similar or even more substantial bid in the mega auction of IPL 2025. Two years ago, he was sensation, finishing as the fourth-highest wicket-taker of the season with blistering pace. But since then his form had dipped and in the last couple of seasons he has played only 9 matches, picking only 5 wickets and crossing 11 runs an over. Ashwin's mock auction had started with Malik at Rs 2 crore, but Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings showed a mild interest initially before pulling out once the bid reached Rs 3 crore. In the event, Delhi Capitals managed to get their hands on Malik at Rs 3.25 crore. That suggests that the price has fallen for him, and it is possible he might not get much better prices when the new IPL 2025 auction takes place. His final price could end up staying lower than Rs 3 crore.
