Punjab Kings batter Cooper Connolly put in one of those massive match moments really, vs Mumbai Indians, when he launched a huge six at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala. Kinda instant game-changer type stuff. The left-handed batter went after spinner Raghu Sharma during the eighth over, and just sent the ball skyward, straight into the stands. The ball was full and a bit outside off stump, so Connolly got that room, enough space to unleash his arms without much trouble. The hit went such a long way, it was measured at 102 metres. Inside the ground, fans basically went wild after seeing that clean thump, no mist. It was also the first six for the Punjab Kings innings, and it arrived after 46 balls. Before that, PBKS mostly leaned on ground-level boundaries and that quick running between wickets, nothing too fancy. Overall, the shot really highlighted the power and timing from the young Australian batter. Raghu Sharma slightly missed his length, and Connolly made full use of the gap. Mumbai Indians bowlers had been doing a decent job up to that point, but once that six landed it shifted pressure back on them again. Connolly looked comfortable at the crease after coming in. He played attacking shots and kept rotating strike regularly with the other batters, sort of methodical but still aggressive.
