Carlos Brathwaite is best remembered for his thrilling finish in the final of the 2016 T20 World Cup, where he struck four successive sixes off Ben Stokes to take West Indies to their second T20 title. Since then, Brathwaite has featured mostly in franchise leagues and as a broadcaster. Brathwaite currently plays for the New York Strikers in the Max60 Caribbean League. In a recent Super Three match against the Grand Cayman Jaguars, he faced an infuriating moment that got him into an outburst of anger. Josh Little bowled a short ball on the third delivery of the ninth over, which Brathwaite attempted to pull; what happened was a mistimed shot, as the ball struck his shoulder and was collected by the wicketkeeper, Ben Dunk. The umpire incompetently gave Brathwaite out, probably under the belief that the ball had touched his glove. Brathwaite, visibly in a disgusted mood, walked off the field but was so frustrated at being given out that he took off his helmet and struck it with his bat in anger as he left the playing area. The win sealed their berth in the final against the Caribbean Tigers, who have been doing exceptionally well in the league so far.
