There were plenty of fiery moments in the third Test between England and India at Lord's and one of them was during an intense altercation between Ravindra Jadeja and Brydon Carse in the first session on Day 5. India was seven down in pursuit of 193 when Jadeja played a shot and signaled for two runs. As he and Carse maintained their focus on the ball, they bumped into each other mid-pitch. Brydon Carse was not pleased and appeared to say something to Jadeja following the bump. Ravindra Jadeja was heard saying, 'I am looking for a run.' Listening this, Brook angrily responded saying, 'You should run around me.' Jadeja didn't do so either. He strolled up quietly and clarified that he did not see Carse because he had his eyes on the ball while running. The replays confirmed that Jadeja was, in fact, on the ball and did not see Carse approaching him. As fate would have it, things only seemed to be getting worse, until England captain Ben Stokes intervened between the two players and cooled them down. The umpires also gave the two players a piece of their minds and play went on without an issue. At lunch, India was still 81 runs short with only two wickets in hand. Nitish Kumar Reddy provided support to Jadeja but was out before the break. India have only Siraj and Bumrah remaining, and they require a miracle to lift this match. An England victory now seems highly possible. If India fails to chase the target of 193 runs, this will be their fourth lowest failed chase in Test history.
