There was a bizarre moment in the County Championship Division One Worcestershire vs. Essex game at Worcester. The game had to be stopped for a while, not due to rain or storm, neither due to bag lights, but due to a surprise bee attack. When Worcestershire were batting first at New Road, Worcester, a swarm of bees flew onto the ground. As soon as the players and umpires saw the swarm of bees, all of them immediately lay down on the ground to avoid getting hit by the bees. Fortunately, nobody suffered a blow by bees. The game was halted for a while until the bees flew away. This incident occurred when there were few mins left in the day. As the bees went away, the game was resumed.
