Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan, who missed out on selection for the Asia Cup 2025, is currently featuring in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. Rizwan, known for his consistency for Pakistan, has been in search to use the CPL 2025 to regain form. However, his campaign began on a bad note, with scores of just 3 and 30 in his opening two matches of the tournament. On his first appearance against Barbados Royals, Rizwan seemed nervy and could score only 3 runs. At number four, he played six balls before getting out to a careless shot on a full-toss, losing his wicket in quite soft manner. In the midst of his hit-and-miss beginning, the social media department of the Barbados Royals thought they would poke some fun at Rizwan's cost. They posted a video of his wicket falling along with a Bollywood number in the background, imparting a comical touch. The selection of song provided an additional layer of jibe, implying Rizwan had given away his wicket in a avoidable way. The post received a lot of attention from fans immediately, with the blend of cricket and Bollywood entertainment resonating well with them. It was a lighthearted moment where it revealed how franchises tend to connect with their audience through innovative content on social media. Against Saint Lucia Kings, he scored an unbeaten 60 off 41 balls to help the Patriots post 177/3 in 20 overs. Bad luck for Rizwan, though, as his combat knock was in vain as Barbados Royals chased down the target easily within 17 overs. Tim Seifert had the top score with a smooth 68 off 45 balls, with Johnson Charles adding a rapid-fire 47, completing the win for the Royals. While Rizwan's form is right back on track, the Bollywood-themed jibe from Barbados Royals has already become one of the highlights of CPL 2025.
