The first-ever Pakistan Champions One-Day Cup, starting on september 12, is just around the corner, and one and all are gearing up for the event. The cricketers are sweating it out in practice sessions or practice games. On the other hand, the other big star, Babar Azam, is trying to get in good form again after failing in recent international matches. But in one of the surprise dismissals in practice game before the start of the tournament, Babar got bowled out. This dismissive performance by Babar got everyone talking. In one video doing the rounds on social media, Babar Azam gets bowled by a left-arm spinner Mohammad Asghar. Babar was trying to play a paddle sweep, but he missed the ball as that went on to hit the middle stump. Asghar had bowled that perfectly and was making Babar play the wrong shot. Adding this to recent woes in form for Babar. Mohammad Haris was entrusted with the role. Most eyes will be on Babar because he has been playing in scandals and criticism just after the defeat of Pakistan to Bangladesh at their home. This Champions One-Day Cup 2024 may prove a godsend for Babar, as well as others, with whom Pakistan is implementing its plans to raise the bar on domestic cricket. Most notably, during the recent Test series in Bangladesh, Babar Azam failed to score even a single half-century. That is why he fell in ranking in the ICC Test batters and ranks at 12th position now. Also Read | Virat Kohli vs Babar Azam: Who is the Better Batsman?
