The young Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh created a wholesome moment while sliding into the frame when his "green forest" Mohammad Siraj was about to give an interview. BCCI has recently posted a video of Akash Deep and Mohammed Siraj after the duo took all the English wickets while the rest got nothing. When Siraj got miked up, Arsh came from the sidelines, pulled Siraj's jersey to get the mic, and said it is high time to reform the famous quote and say, "I only believe in myself and Jassi (Jasprit Bumrah) bhai." Ben Stokes fumes at umpire after Jaiswal's offer granted The Mohammed Siraj without Jasprit Bumrah However, this lad, without having his Jassi Bhai by his side, took six wickets alone. Well, in the interview, he said that he loves to lead the pack, to have some heavy responsibilities on his shoulders. He aimed not to pressurize his contemporaries, Akash and Prasidh Krishna, and rightly took the lead. He said, “It’s Akash Deep’s third or fourth match, same for Prasidh, so I was just focused on staying consistent and building pressure. I feel like trying different things, but I have to stay consistent… I love responsibility, I love the challenge." Siraj, leading the Test side to the dressing room holding the ball upwards, is not something that has never been seen before. Even though in recent times, especially in the BGT, Siraj struggled a lot. But this man with experience of just 9 innings led the pack at Gabba in the 2021-22 BGT, walking out in a similar pattern in the first innings, having Bumrah on the bench. That time it was Shardul Thakur who had a four-fer, and yesterday, it was Akash Deep. Notably, Mohammed Siraj has claimed 69 wickets from 33 Tests at an average of 33.82 when Jasprit Bumrah is part of the playing XI, including a solitary five-wicket haul. However, in the absence of Bumrah, Siraj’s numbers are notably better—39 wickets in just 15 matches at an impressive average of 25.20. His recent 6/70 against England, which restricted them to 407 in the second innings and gave India a 180-run cushion, marked his third five-wicket haul in matches where Bumrah wasn’t involved.
