Arafat Minhas continued his wonderful start to international cricket with another important moment against Australia in the second ODI at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Tuesday. The talented young spinner took the wicket of Australian Josh Inglis with a peach of a delivery after the keeper-batter had fought his way to a gritty fifty. Minhas once again showed that he could live up to the billing of becoming a one of the most exciting young prospects in Pakistan. Inglis had begun to get himself set and guide Australia towards a good total after playing a patient innings. He would eventually make his fifty but soon after looked comfortable at the crease before Minhas took his game to the next level with a delivery which broke the game open. Inglis moved onto the back foot and looked to try and force the ball through the off-side. The delivery however went under his bat and hit the stumps. The right-hander would walk off for 51 runs from 74 deliveries. An instant match-winning performer on his first ODI, Arafat finished on 18 not out as well as a brilliant 5-32 which inspired Pakistan to a memorable win on the debut for the young prodigy who found himself an instant sensation. Against the same opposition, the youngster proved that his incredible performance on debut was no fluke as Inglis' dismissal showcased his developing confidence in troubling the best batters in the world. Inglis was also in the series after an impressive IPL campaign for Lucknow Super Giants, who bought the wicketkeeper batter for Rs 8.6 crore and produced multiple impactful knocks in the tournament with scores of 85, 72 and 60. Although Inglis bounced back in Lahore, scoring a half-century, it was young Pakistan star Minhas who came out on top, as the Pakistan all-rounder continues to put on remarkable displays in the early stage of his international career.
