Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) were in grave trouble at the start of their innings against Delhi Capitals (DC) in IPL 2025, having lost four wickets for only 37 runs. But young gun Aniket Verma rose to the occasion in the face of adversity and played a dashing knock to save his side. He together with Heinrich Klaasen stabilised the innings before Klaasen lost his wicket, leaving SRH at 114/5. But Verma did not allow the momentum to ebb away and unleashed a stunning onslaught on Axar Patel in the 15th over of the innings. During the 15th over, Verma displayed his intent to score aggressively, blasting Axar Patel for a four and two consecutive sixes on the first three deliveries. He began the over in style, driving the first ball inside-out over covers for a boundary. The first six was off a marginally fuller one, which Verma sent straight back above the bowler's head in confident fashion. The next ball, Axar pulled the length back, but Verma was not to be left behind, rocking back and clubbing it over mid-wicket for a massive six.
