In the 8th Delhi Premier League 2025 match between East Delhi Riders and New Delhi Tigers at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, the crowd saw a mouth-dropping incident in the 10th over. Left-arm bowler Rounak Waghela was delivering the last ball of the over to Shivam Gupta, playing securely on 38 off 31 balls. Shivam attempted a huge slog sweep and connected well. The ball went up and appeared to be going over the square leg boundary for a certain six. But Shivam did not know that fielder Akhil Chaudhary was already set near the ropes. Just as the ball approached, Akhil jumped perfectly in time, stretched his right hand high above his head, and caught the ball cleanly while going to the ground. It was a phenomenal catch, one of those instances in which everything has to be just right, and it was. Akhil's grip, timing, and balance made it a top highlight of the match. Shivam, who had been looking menacing, had to walk back, and this moment caused some shift in momentum in favor of East Delhi Riders.
