The Indian fast bowlers had a tough day at The Oval, London. Before the Lunch, when Mohammad Siraj was inside the dressing room taking some treatments, it was Akash Deep and Prasidh Krishna who were bowling. Shubman Gill, the Indian captain, gave Washington Sundar two overs, and then Siraj came back. However, Akash was visibly struggling. While Harry Brook had a small phase of tossing the ball here and there, Akash almost lost his line. He even went inside for a while, probably for a painkiller injection. Gill was heard even asking Akash if he was fine, and then he was brought back. In such a situation, Akash made a fielding blunder. Harry Brook hit a drive off Washington, and the ball reached Akash Deep at the deep. Akash probably was trying to stop the ball, trying to block it with his ankle. But the ball rolled down to the boundary, with him almost wobbling over it. It had risk, and he could have been caught out, unless Siraj didn't touch the boundary holding the ball when Brook was just at 19! Well, Brook's dismissal was funny. In both the innings, Brook made sure that the audience was not missing Rishabh Pant. Off a length ball from Akash Deep, Brook tried to go across the line, ultimately ending in losing both the bat and ball but in two opposite directions. Siraj, despite the chaos, took the catch, and India got a breakthrough after hours of toiling on the field. Well, England need 35 runs to win on Day 5. Rain interrupting in the final over made the umpires call early stumps. Earlier Ben Duckett scored a half century (54), and later Joe Root and Harry Brook scored centuries and eased the chase. They have 4 more wickets for day 5, with Jamie Smith and Jamie Overton at the crease.
