Akash Deep presented India with a dream beginning in the second Test at Edgbaston, claiming two wickets in two deliveries to place England under pressure. He first removed Ben Duckett for a duck with a piercing delivery that edged and was held safely by Shubman Gill at third slip. On the very first ball, Ollie Pope was caught by KL Rahul at second slip for a golden duck, following the movement away from the seam of the ball. The Edgbaston crowd gasped in shock as Akash Deep went on to celebrate enthusiastically, India got off to a flying start in this very important Test of the 2025 series.
