Match no. 25 of Delhi Premier League 2025 between Purani Dilli 6 and South Delhi Superstarz saw a rare incident where South Delhi Superstarz fast bowler Abhishek Khandelwal elbowed his captain Ayush Badoni accidentally in the heat of a wicket celebration. The incident came after Khandelwal dismissed Purani Dilli 6's batter Aarush Malhotra with a sharp caught-and-bowled. While teammates ran to celebrate the wicket, Khandelwal raised his elbow in excitement, which in the process inadvertently hit Badoni in the face. Fortunately, the accident did not leave any injury. Badoni hastily indicated that he was okay and laughed about it, exchanging a smile with Khandelwal before the game began.
