All the talks about Rishabh Pant donning the LSG jersey and leading his new franchise against his home from the time he started playing the IPL, Delhi Capitals and it was a horror stay at the crease for the new LSG skipper. He registered a 6-ball duck in his first outing for LSG and holed out at long-off trying to take on Kuldeep Yadav. Rishabh Pant walked out to bat with his side LSG in a commanding position as the man walking past him, Mitchell Marsh, had just blasted a 36-ball 72 before him. Pant defended a couple of balls from Mukesh Kumar and ended the 12th over and then enjoyed the show from the other end in the next over as Nicholas Pooran smoked the off-spin of Tristan Stubbs for 28 runs in an over. On the back of a blitz from Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran, the latter of whom is unbeaten on 70* off 27, LSG are 162/3 after 14 overs and would be eyeing a score in excess of 220 with the likes of Miller out in the middle along with Pooran. DC would have their tasks cut out when they come out to chase whatever LSG set them but the pitch at Vishakhapatnam is definitely a batter's friend.
