Virat Kohli has been struggling with his form in international cricket recently. His poor performance continued in the Bangladesh Test series, where he could only manage 99 runs across four innings. This dip in form carried over into the recent New Zealand series, where he failed to meet his usual standards due to which the Indian team lost the home Test series. A noticeable issue in his game has been his persistent difficulty against spinners, particularly slow left-arm bowlers. This weakness has contributed significantly to his lack of consistency, as he's not getting enough opportunities to face spinners in match situations. He believes that the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 2024-25 will be a crucial test for Kohli, a chance for him to prove his resilience and return to his best form. However, he pointed out that the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy will be a key test for them.
