Former Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram urged both players and fans of the Indian and the Pakistani teams to maintain the decorum and sporting notions and let no other rage overpower the field during the 2025 Asia Cup match scheduled on September 12 in Dubai. The India vs Pakistan match has always been a high-voltage encounter and has often blurred the thin line between sports and cross-border tension. Moreover, in the recent days, the neighbors have not been sharing a good bond, rejecting each other in sporting territories. Referring to the heat of the air, Akram pleaded with both sides to not cross the line. Speaking to Asia Sport, Akram said, “I am sure these matches will be entertaining, just like all other India-Pakistan matches. But I hope both the players and the fans will remain disciplined and do not cross the line. If Indians are patriotic and want their team to win, the same goes for Pakistani fans."
