Indian Test cricket icon VVS Laxman has been spotted near the Indian team in England for the last two days. Being around the team has stirred some curiosity, given the fact that the BCCI has not announced publicly whether he has a role to play on this tour. Most of the fans and experts are intrigued about the presence of Laxman with the team when there has not been a public announcement regarding his inclusion in the support staff. Laxman currently heads the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. While there has been no official update, it is believed that Laxman might be in England to casually meet the players and share his valuable experience. He is known for his deep knowledge of Test cricket and has played many matches in English conditions, making him a useful voice for any team preparing for a red-ball series in England.
