Virat Kohli is all set to play his 118th Test match at Wankhede Stadium on November 1. He will be playing in the third Test against New Zealand, before leaving for Australia. Virat Kohli hopes that runs will silence his critics as they have raised some valid concerns about his last performance. Virat Kohli's Test Record at Wankhede Kohli needs an innings to retain the faith of many former cricketers with their criticism of his Test form. Kohli has an interesting record on this ground - one of his seven Test double hundreds came here, but overall, he has performed in an average manner. In five Tests at Wankhede, Kohli scored 469 runs in eight innings with an average of 58.62 and striking at 58.69. Excluding his double century against England, Kohli has scored only 234 runs with an average of 33.42 and a strike rate of 50.98. Most importantly, Kohli scored his last half-century in Test at Wankhede 11 years ago (in 2013), and all his three half-centuries at Mumbai Tests have come against West Indies. Interestingly, Kohli's last Test at Wankhede was also against New Zealand, three years ago. That match is remembered for New Zealand spinner Ajaz Patel's remarkable 10-wicket haul in the first innings. Kohli had a tough time in that game, scoring 0 (4) and 36 (84) after being dismissed by left-arm spinners in both innings.
