Ever since Virat Kohli declared that he was retiring from Test cricket, fresh developments are coming forth on a daily basis. Kohli had surprised his fans on Saturday morning by informing the BCCI that he was going to retire. The BCCI was reportedly displeased and even asked him to reconsider his move as India will be touring England for a five-match Test series from June 20, and without Kohli, the side might be inexperienced. Rohit Sharma and R. Ashwin have already retired from Test cricket. Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah are the only experienced players who are left in the team. As this England series will begin the new cycle of the World Test Championship (WTC), without Kohli it can make India weaker and provide England with an upper hand. Fans were in hope of Virat staying at least for this tour, but the cricketing Stalwart confirmed his Test retirement through and Instagram post on Monday.
