Virat Kohli, the star batter for Ace India and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, recently attended an event in Mumbai where he openly shared his affection for the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Since the very first season of the IPL, Kohli has been a loyal member of RCB. He mentioned how warmly he’s been received at most of the venues he’s played at, but he had particularly glowing words for Chinnaswamy, calling it a "very special" place for him. "To be very honest, I have received a lot of support in most places I have played in and the fans have been truly amazing. But I think the ground which really stands out for me, of course the Chinnaswamy at Bengaluru. Yeah, that ground will always be very special for me," stated Kohli at the Asian Paints event. In case you missed it, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) just announced that Asian Paints will be India’s Colour Partner for the next three years. This partnership with the multinational company was revealed ahead of two major ICC events in 2026: the T20 World Cup and the Women’s T20 World Cup. The collaboration is said to be worth around INR 45 crore. Kohli, who played a crucial role in RCB’s title-winning season earlier this year (scoring 657 runs in 15 innings with a strike rate of 144.71), is set to return to competitive cricket with the Indian team in the upcoming ODI series against South Africa. He recently played three matches in Australia, marking his first competitive outings since the Champions Trophy in the UAE. Virat Kohli has truly been the heartbeat of Royal Challengers Bengaluru since the very first IPL match. Time and again, he’s dazzled us with his incredible performances. With his aggressive batting style and remarkable consistency, he’s delivered countless match-winning innings, always leading RCB with passion. His unwavering dedication, strong leadership, and undeniable skill have solidified his status as a genuine icon for both the team and its fans.
