Virat Kohli, who has resumed training at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, met his childhood friend Shawez Khan during his net session on January 28. Khan's son Kabir too came to meet Kohli, as Kohli paused to greet both. The three of them shared heartwarming moments as Khan warmly hugged Kohli, with Kabir getting an autograph on his bat. They even later posed for photos. Apart from getting an autograph on the bat, Kabir brought a self-made portrait for Kohli, which the latter signed as well. Kabir showed the signed bat and portrait to India Today. Speaking to the house, he further shared Kohli's advice to him, saying, "I asked him how can I play for India?... He said 'You have to practice hard. And it shouldn't be your Papa telling you to go to practice. You should tell Papa, I have to go to practice'."
