In an announcement made on Friday, BCCI announced the India A team for the England tour with some surprises. Abhimanyu Easwaran is set to captain the side in the 3-match series that starts on May 30, with Dhruv Jurel being the vice captain. Some players in the 18-man list include Yashasvi Jaiswal, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Tanush Kotian, Mukesh Kumar, and Akash Deep. Ishan Kishan comes into the team after a long time, whereas the most talking point has been the exclusion of Shreyas Iyer. There are now giant clouds on his red-ball cricketing future and if he makes it into the main India squad for the England Tests. On the other side, Sarfaraz Khan, who saw no action during the Australia tour and just warmed the benches, has now got an excellent chance to take the center stage.
