Social media got flooded with memes after fast bowler Akash Deep received a bat from Indian cricket star, Virat Kohli. Akash had posted an image of the bat on his Instagram story and thanked him. Soon, fans remembered that when Kohli refused to give Rinku Singh a new bat after he broke the first one Kohli had gifted him. In IPL 2024, Rinku was seen asking Virat Kohli for another bat. But Kohli firmly said he had no extra bats left. The moment quickly went viral, with fans finding Rinku relatable as a true Kohli fan. A week after the viral chat between Kohli and Rinku, Rinku finally got a second bat from Kohli.
