In a heartbreaking turn of events, Mumbai's young batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi faced a serious injury during the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 match against Uttarakhand. While fielding, he suffered a significant head injury and had to be stretchered off the field, quickly taken to a nearby hospital in Jaipur for medical assessment. The incident unfolded at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium during the 30th over of Uttarakhand’s innings. Off-spinner Tanush Kotian was on the bowling end when batter Saurabh Rawat went for a slog-sweep. The ball took a top edge and soared toward the deep mid-wicket area, prompting Raghuvanshi to dash in for a catch. His one-handed diving attempt was quite impressive, but unfortunately, he lost his balance and fell hard onto the ground. During the fall, Raghuvanshi took a hard hit to the ground, and it looked like he also hurt his shoulder and neck. He managed to get up on his haunches for a moment but quickly collapsed again, clearly in pain. The medical team from Mumbai rushed onto the field as the young player struggled to move his neck. As his condition seemed to worsen, they called for a stretcher, and he was eventually taken to SDMH Hospital in Jaipur by ambulance.
