The Indian spinner Varun Chakravarthy has been a huge fan of the Tamil actor Vijay Thalapathy and has got a tattoo of the actor on his left deltoid. India reached Chennai on January 24 and has resumed practice the same day. BCCI has posted a video on their official website, "BCCI TV," featuring the Chennai boys Washington Sundar and Varun Chakravarthy, where the latter was seen expressing his admiration for his favourite actor. Not only that, Varun wittyly remarked how he is sketching a movie plot that is yet to be completed, while Washi recalled how Varun asked him to invest in it. Varun also expressed how representing India on his home ground for the first time is special for him and that he sought advice from Washington, who had earlier played in Chennai for India. Varun further remembered his cricket journey and how he left cricket after school and learned architecture, but "cricket did not leave" him.
