The recently concluded DPL 2026 in Delhi has been engulfed in controversy after wicketkeeper-batter of Central Delhi Kings, Vansh Bedi accused of a fixing approach during the tournament. Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) has approached the BCCI for guidance on the issue. The incident of fixing allegations against the DPL teams has occurred against the backdrop of the corruption charges which were brought forth by Tehelka. However, DDCA has clarified that these allegations were unverified, and no assumptions should be made before the examination of the authorities. Vansh Bedi Reports Alleged Fixing Approach During DPL 2026 As per the report, Bedi was approached by a cricketer from Uttar Pradesh, who was also a part of the state's T20 league. The young wicketkeeper-batter immediately reported the incident to the anti-corruption officials, and the case has been documented. DDCA secretary Ashok Sharma was quoted as saying: "Vansh Bedi promptly reported a corrupt approach to the Anti-Corruption wing from a player from Uttar Pradesh, who was also playing a T20 league in the state. We have attached SLOs with every team this year and all our arrangements have been watertight." DDCA also approached the BCCI for a resolution on the alleged corruption charges in the DPL. The accusations made by the private agency have not been proven by an official investigation till now. The DDCA revealed that they had approached the BCCI for instructions on the case. The DDCA official said: "We have written to the BCCI and will await their guidance." In the statement released on Tuesday, the association claimed that no player or franchise should be judged on the allegations. The statement read: "DDCA would like to clarify that the allegations referred to in these reports are unverified and have not been established by any competent authority. The Association believes it would be inappropriate to conclude any individual, player or franchise based solely on such allegations." DDCA spokesperson added that the association would cooperate with the authorities and take action if needed. Central Delhi Kings eventually emerged as the runners-up in the DPL 2026, after losing to South Delhi Superstarz in the final match. Bedi was previously a part of Purani Dilli 6 and the Chennai Super Kings' squad in the IPL.
