Indian teenage sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi has etched his name into Youth ODI history by breaking the record for most career sixes. The 14-year-old left-hander reached the milestone during the second India U-19 versus Australia U-19 50-over match at Brisbane’s Ian Healy Oval. Suryavanshi smashed his 39th six, surpassing former U-19 World Cup-winning captain Unmukt Chand, who had struck 38 sixes across 21 matches. Suryavanshi’s innings of 70 runs included six maximums before he was dismissed by Australian skipper Yash Deshmukh, caught spectacularly by Aryan Sharma. In just 10 Youth ODI innings, Suryavanshi has already hit 41 sixes and scored 540 runs, with more than a quarter of his runs coming from boundaries. His rapid rise eclipses other notable Indian U-19 batters such as Yashasvi Jaiswal, who hit 30 sixes in 27 matches.
