Former Indian cricketer Unmukt Chand and his wife, Simran Khosla, were blessed with a baby boy on September 27, 2025, a happy piece of news they revealed publicly a few days later on their official social media platforms. Chand shared an emotional photo with himself, his wife, and scan of his son, in blue tones, on X (formerly Twitter). The caption was, "Our miracle, our sunshine, our everything. Welcome to the world, baby boy." The 32-year-old initially gained fame when he led India Under-19 to the 2012 World Cup victory. In the final against the hosts Australia, he scored a composed, unbeaten 111 in a winning chase, his third straight century in an Under-19 World Cup final. Chand made his Ranji Trophy entry while studying, having a maiden century of 151 on only his fourth outing. He debuted in the IPL at 18 years and 15 days and was compared to Virat Kohli, who had done the same in leading India to Under-19 triumph in 2008. Early potential aside, Chand was unable to find a spot in the senior Indian team and failed to gain huge success in the IPL. He retired from Indian cricket in 2021 after multiple efforts to make a breakthrough to the national team. Complementing the commemoration of his success, Chand's documentary, 'Unbroken: The Unmukt Chand Story', led by director Raghav Khanna, came out on September 12, 2025. The movie traces his professional highs and lows, presenting a close-up view of his personal and professional life, including the setbacks he encountered and the successes he attained.
