Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) is likely to be without their star player Travis Head for their upcoming IPL 2025 game against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Monday. Sunrisers Hyderabad's head coach Daniel Vettori informed that the Australian opening batter has returned a positive test for Covid-19 and was unable to travel with the team. Daniel Vettori told the reporters: "He [Travis Head] had Covid-19, and unfortunately, he couldn’t travel. We’re hopeful of having him back for the next game once he’s fully recovered and cleared to join the squad." SRH, finalists in the previous year, already lost their playoff hopes this year. They will now be playing for pride, whereas LSG have a faint hope of qualifying for the top four as they are at 10 points with three matches left. To qualify, LSG need to win all their remaining matches with huge margins so that they are able to move to 16 points. The likes of Nitish Kumar Reddy and Ishan Kishan will be looking to score some runs before traveling to England for the India A tour. While, Pat Cummins will look brush off his bowling skills before heading back for the WTC 2025 Final against South Africa. Of the SRH players, Abhishek Sharma has scored 314 runs in the season. He represents Punjab for red-ball cricket too. Though he was not selected for the India A tour of England, a decision that might disappoint him. Abhishek's explosive style of batting is well known, and once he gets into the rhythm, he can give any attack headaches. LSG bowling has not been that good, and preventing Abhishek from scoring will be one of their biggest tasks on Monday. If Head misses out, it is likely that Ishan Kishan will be promoted as an opener and he will have to prove his mettle if he gets an opportunity.
