The Indian middle-order batter Tilak Varma shared that he suffered from a unique disease named rhabdomyolysis. The disease appeared after his debut season for the Mumbai Indians. Rhabdomyolysis is a condition where muscles break down, releasing muscle contents like myoglobin into the bloodstream. Varma has never revealed this before; however, in his recent interactions with Gaurav Kapoor in Breakfast with Champions, he revealed how the disease threatened his career in the early days. Tilak said, "I have not opened up about this to anyone. After my first IPL, I had some health problems. I wanted to be fit. These things haven’t come out. I was diagnosed with something called Rhabdomyolysis, in which muscle breakdowns happen."
